Well, it's finally official. Today they unveiled the name, team colors and the new logo for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Leading up to the unveiling, they played "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC, which was pretty cool. I guess now we can add an Oklahoma City Thunder forum.

I've added the new name to the old name in the forum. When the season gets started I'll remove the old name. Hopefully this will attract viewers to the forum.

According to Clay's description of the logo, it was designed to be classic, I suppose as in old school, simple and to the point. Nothing fancy. The colors are blue, which is the color of the state flag of Oklahoma. The sunset colors of red and orange, because of the brilliant sunsets we occasionally have here. He said the red and orange were "not to red, not to orange" which got a lot of laughs from the Sooner and Cowboy fans. And yellow because of the Oklahoma sun. I suppose the catch phrase will be "Welcome to Thunder Basketball" since he said that a couple of times during the unveiling.

I couldn't stand the Seattle sonics especially the colors. I don't like the thunder logo but i may wear a OKC tshirt or jersey some day

They sold out their season tickets already. Guess it was a smart move by the nba, even though i dont like it
