NBA Ref's

Is anyone else disgusted by the officiating in this years playoffs? I can't believe some of the game changing calls/non-calls. How can the NBA fix this?

Absolutely. Not sure how to fix it, but it is definitely a major, major problem. I'm still ticked off at the no-call that cost the Spurs during the Lakers series, and very curious as to why the NBA, after admitting a mistake was made, chose NOT to replay the final few moments of that game. That, and the playoff officiating on the whole, has been an absolute embarrassment to basketball!

Oh, by the way... welcome to GoTeamsGo, and thanks for joining us!

The NBA was just getting the Spurs back for the Suns suspension debacle of last year. NBA refa are by far the worst officials in the 4 major sports, always. This year is no different from any other-they alwaya stink.

Re: NBA Ref's

What do you expect? Look at the character of the men making the calls. In game 3 you had two convicted felons calling the game and in game 1 you had an official who is rumored to be currently under an FBI investigation.

When in doubt, I think the Refs should consult the Magic 8-Ball.

I second that. Couldn't be any worse than their current tactics.

Re: NBA Ref's

Unfortunately pro sports as a whole has become a sham by placing the almighty dollar in position one. Look at NASCAR and Dale Jr. One race had 8 violations and only received one back of the longest line penalty and didn't go to the back of the line then. This past race they threw a bogus yellow right before he was about to be passed for the lead on the final lap. That is not even taking into account that he pulled up slightly ahead of the pace car during a yellow which is a one lap penalty which the drivers have been warned not to do. Even golf a game that prides itself on integrity and the player penalizing themselves has gotten into the fray. Look at the actions of tiger this past weekend. Cursing loudly and throwing clubs yet no action taken against him. One event a couple fans moved a small boulder that blocked his next shot. He saw them do it and still took his shot without calling a penalty. Anyone would have either had the small boulder replaced or called a penalty for improving his lay. By not doing either and signing his scorecard with an incorrect score the PGA rules say he should have been DQed. DQ tiger? Yea right.

All of your points would make for great discussion but how do they pertain to NBA refs ??? NASCAR & PGA have little in common with NBA refs and if they didn't use hi tech listening devices you'd have never heard Tiger utter a word. Have you ever seen an NBA ref penalize a basketball player for using profanity ??? It is most certainly there. I'm not a lip reader but I can pick out a few chosen words every game.
