Re: Who is this years MVP?

I've heard all the arguments for Kobe, and he does have a claim... but in my book, it's got to be Paul.

Re: Who is this years MVP?

If you took any of these guys off their clubs then their teams would fold.

Re: Who is this years MVP?

kobe- bashing his own team in teh pre-season. they didnt go on a real hot streak until they got gasol. funny how everytime a big man comes along to the lakers, kobe gets teh credit.

garnett- has a stronger case. but RAY ALLEN and paul pierce also helped teh celtics get to where they are. plus they were winning just fine during teh games where he was hurt

lebron- well we all know he's mvp caliber but he hasnt really had to play a tough stretch of games

paul- who can honestly say they knew the hornets would be the number one seed (most likely) ? after stephen a. said it i had to watch for myself and he was right. this kid really is "baby isiah" even isiah said it himself and thats good enough for me. i doubt they would be anywhere near this good without this kid.

now we will all hear arguements like "kobe deserves it cuz he never got it before" , well if thats the case it shoud be awarded alphabetically on a year to year basis and noone shoud get it multiple times (jabbar, nash, even his airness himself). or "kobe is the best player so he should get it". the award isnt called leagues best player. its called MVP. as in MOST VALUABLE. as in who is just that important to their team. the only logical answer is paul.

Re: Who is this years MVP?

This is pretty easy actually, Chris Paul is the MVP. He is carrying that Hornets team and if you want to play the stat game he is averaging two more than Steve Nash did when he won it those two years and only a fraction of an assist left.

Re: Who is this years MVP?

Celtics have three superstars, so I wouldn't vote for him.

I'd go with Paul. But realistically, Kobe will likely get the award.

Its going to be one of the two of them. I'm still hopefully the more deserving Paul will win it, though.

Re: Who is this years MVP?

I wouldn't say Paul is a "baby Isiah". Paul is better than Isiah was already. But, he did show he was human tonight against the Mavs.

Re: Who is this years MVP?

I wanted to vote for LeBron really bad, but I have to go with Paul. He is the number 1 reason they are where they are. The Cavs would be junk without James, but they even struggled at times with him this year.
