Kobe is by far the best player in the NBA just like when Jordan was in the 90's.

Lakers will win it all this year and his greatness will surpass MJ's in every aspects. Just 3 more rings and no more comparison.

I hate to disagree with you, but there is no way Kobe will surpass Jordan in every aspect. Kobe is a great great player without a doubt, but I think Jordan has forgotten more about basketball than Kobe knows. Jordan carried his championship teams to the title while Kobe was a complimentary player to Shaq. Also, Kobe needs to win 3 more rings. I think he gets one this year, but 3 more is pushing it.

yea dont forget the 6 finals mvp's and 5 league mvp's and 3rd all time leading scorer behind only kareem and teh mailman. all time leader in points per game. all time leading playoff scorer. michael was the centerpiece of teh bulls. kobe is a sidekick.

I think you have to break it down like this.
Kobe had Shaq. Shaq leaves, Shaq plays with Wade, they win.
Kobe now has Gasol.
Jordan had Bill Cartwright, Bill Wennington, and Luc Longley.
it became quite obvious to me that Pippen's number are a sheerly inflated based on how worthless he was while Jordan put his career on hiatus.
Jordan made people play to a different level. Kobe needs talent, and whines about it and makes demands, throws tirades, etc.
based on this, please tell me whom you think is "truly" better.

if it was a game winning shot attempt, somehow he would will it to go in. you just knew it was going in.

besides, arent we forgetting playing hurt? kobe hurts his back and looks like he's playing drunk. mj has a twisted knee/food poisoning/the flu/ or some other injury and he seemed to play better hurt. o yea, how bout 62 points on THE boston celtics led by THE larry bird in his second playoff game. and 43 against them in his playoff debut, and he had a broken foot all of that season, and it was at boston garden.

it serously baffles me how someone can speak such balderdash and actually say that kobe was somehow better.

decade of success? you mean 3 titles from 99-01? thats 3 years. definately not a dynasty by basketball standards. and who did they beat in teh finals? sixers (which was basically AI by himself)? the powerhouse (pffft) pacers? the nets led by a declining jason kidd and a hobbling vince carter.

now lets look at a REAL decade of success.

1991 nba finals- bulls beat the lakers led by THE magic johnson and vlade divac. mvp-you know who-his airness

1992 nba finals- bulls beat the trailblazers led by clyde drexler,possibly the 2nd greatest shooting guard of all time. mvp-take a guess

1993 nba finals- bulls beat the suns led by sir charles (barkley) himself. o not to mention danny ainge and that richard dumas guy. mvp-get my point?

1994 nba finals- mj retired
1995 nba finals- mj retired

1996 nba finals- after going 72-10 (intact nba record) bulls beat supersonics led by sean kemp and wats that other guys name? o yea gary payton. and yes MJ was MVP

1997 nba finals- near the end of his career he faced possibly the toughest team in these finals. the jazz led by JOHN STOCKTON and wats his name? o karl malone. mvp-kj

1998 nba finals- same opponent as 97. same result. same mvp
