Remember Manute Bol ? The 7-foot-7 son of a Dinka tribal chief born in the Sudan played for 10 years in the NBA on four teams, including the Nets. He retired in 1996 but is still the league's second-leading shot blocker of all time. Bol, 45, who donated many of his basketball millions to the needy of Africa, is holding a press conference and rally on New Year's Day on the steps of the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines to demand that the presidential candidates address the ongoing genocide in Darfur.
