Jordan Brand, a division of Nike, Inc., announced that through its Jordan Fundamentals program it will recognize 300 educators nationwide for their outstanding achievements and contributions in the classroom. This year, the Jordan Fundamentals Program will award $1 million in total grants for the 2007-2008 school year to aid teachers working in grades 1-12 at economically disadvantaged schools to provide the resources necessary for instructional creativity and enhance curriculum development. -- Business Wire

Why can't all businesses do this for education in their states. I just heard that there are districts around here that are charging parents for kindergarten classes. I thought school was to be state funded.
