Who do you folks think is the most overrated player in the NBA?

i am so sick of hearing how great he is ...... he has never delivered us Celtic fans anything

most of the "experts" seem to lump him with the A Level players, and he isnt that good

Kobe - Shaq - D Wade - Iverson - Dirk - Nash

thats a list of a few of the A Level players ...... Pierce does not belong on that list ......... yet so many "experts" always seem to claim he does

Of course he makes the All-time Celts...he is an around talent who never had a team around him. What team in the NBA would not take him?

OVERRATED is the middle name for Marbury. This guy is older now and still hasn't won a single playoff series. He may be able to make a show near the basket but he just is not a winning player.

I think Kobe Bryant is overrated. If I were picking a team for a 1 on 1 tourney, I would take him. But this idea that he's the 1st or 2nd best player in the hoops is ridiculous.

Off the top of my head, If I had a team, I would take Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Dwayne Wade and Lebron before him.

Empire hit the nail on the head. Marbury may be the most overrated of all time. And easily the worst player that was hyped to be good was Sebastian Telfair. He starts on the all-overrated team at guard with Marbury.

Marbury is way overrated when compared to Pierce...and Pierce doesn't even come with an over inflated nickname either...

No way Paul Pierce is overated, hes never had good teamates around him except for maybe walker when he was there. When I think of overated I think of marbury or steve francis..

Steve Francis, there ya go. When he came into the league, he was suppose to be the next great guard. Then he pulls the powerplay out of Vancouver and just becomes a solid player. Hell, he didn't even want to play with Yao Ming. Why exactly?

What about Harold Miner...Baby Jordan they where calling him when he first came into the league. After winning the dunk contest in his first year he faded in non existence. I'd also put Penny Hardaway on that list as well, we all saw what he did(or perhaps what he didnt do)once Shaq left the Magic. He then moved to a reasonably talented Phoenix team where he underacheived again.

I don't think Dwayne Wade is overated, the guy's already won an NBA title, he has the ability to take anyone in the NBA off the dribble and doesnt have to rely on Shaq to get him shots like a couple of other pretenders have.
