ok, so my Celtics are tanking games in hopes of drafting Oden or Durrant obviously the Draft Lottery System is flawed

how do we fix it ?

how about if the best team that doesnt make the playoffs gets the #1 pick ?

lol ........... well i admit it has been a drawn out strategy for our Celts

but i really think something should be done

But isn't this where the Lottery system works? I mean, Boston can tank all they games they want, but unlike other sports, that doesn't guarantee them the #1 pick. They still could lose out to another team with fewer entry balls.

heres a way to fix it every team that doesnt make the playoffs has an epual chance at the number 1 pick so if ud tank games it woundnt matter

I guess I'm not real in-tune with basketball, but why is this even an issue. In football and baseball, the team with the worst record gets the first pick. Worst team gets first crack at the best player. That's the way it should be.

I know it would never fly in the NBA, but it would make a lot of money. What if they had a tournament to set the draft order. They take the couple teams that do not make the playoffs and have an NCAA type tourny. As you get elimiated is where you draft.

That's why they put the lottery in...so teams wouldn't tank games. It used to be that they went in reverse order of record. While the odds go up, But with the lottery there is no guarantee that you will get that pick.

But now they tank games to have more balls in the lottery. Give the first pick to the team with the worst record like all other sports. The lottery was basically brought in to manuever Ewing to the Knicks anyways.
