Problems I Have With Baseball

Ive been watching baseball for years now, and there are some problems I have with it that I just need to get off my chest.

Occasionally an outfielder catches a fly ball near the warning track and the announcer states that in most parks it would have been a home run ...... what the heck is that ...... how is it possible MLB allows ballparks to be built to different dimensions ..... thats just ludicrous

how about this in the NFL ........ 'well that would have been a touchdown, but our field is 108 yards long instead of 100'

another problem with baseball ..... the umps ..... inconsistent strike zones and missed calls ........ 'well this ump has a generous strike zone' .... how is that acceptable ...... just plain stupid

well no 2 people are the same as no 2 batters are the same so you can't always have the same strike zone its impossible now the dimensions doesn't make sense but theres probably a reason

I got no problem with the size of the field. It's the same for both teams but I'll agree with the strike zone issue. I'd ALMOST rather see electronic calls. I already know all the arguments about that so everyone can just put it in neutral for now. I'm just saying that electronic calls would be far more consistent.

Naw man, those things add character to the game...like old Yankee stadium use to be 457' (I believe) to deep center "Death Valley"...or the short distance to the Green Monster in Fenway.

In the 70's they tried to make this stupid cemetrical stadiums that sucked...now they are going back to the old types...minus the 450' center fields...

Re: Problems I Have With Baseball

Well the distance from the bases are 90ft, the mounds 60ft in all fields but the outfield fence pretty goes with what room the field was built on. Like the older fields were built in cities with not much room so they built them around the area that was given.Hard for me to explain. But I like it , gives each field its own character.
