Dan Uggla Goes for Rookie Triple Crown Among rookies, four guys really stand out above the rest among offensive players. Marlins 2B Dan Uggla, Mariners C Kenji Kohjima, Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman and Brewers 1B Prince Fielder. Uggla is trailing Johjima in batting average by .09, trailes Fielder by three home runs and Zimmerman by 11 RBIs. Can Uggla do it?

Re: Dan Uggla Goes for Rookie Triple Crown Dan Uggla had an impressive rookie season with the Marlins, this year. He should definitely be a top contender for the Rookie of the Year Award which he has a good chance of winning. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure who should win since the competition is so close.

Re: Dan Uggla Goes for Rookie Triple Crown Rookie of the Year lately is a bad luck charm, at least in the American League. Bobby Crosby, Angel Berroa, Eric Hinske, Ben Grieve, and Bob Hamelin were 5 of the last 11. Is Liriano of the Twins a rookie?

Re: Dan Uggla Goes for Rookie Triple Crown I like Angel Berroa for some reason. Every year I think he has the potential to break out, but he always lets me down.

Re: Dan Uggla Goes for Rookie Triple Crown I was hoping Uggla woudl not have the year he is. In my fantasy league I traded him away. I didn't think a rookie can keep up hitting the way he was. I check the box scores evry day and kick myself for not keeping him.He is a lock for ROY.... IMO.
