| Re: 2006 MLB Comeback of the Year Finalists Thome and Beltran...definitely... Remember last year, Thome's at-bats were painful to watch and Beltran was the year's biggest disappointment. He was supposed to be this mega-star ( after coming off an incredible NLCS), but flopped... |

| Re: 2006 MLB Comeback of the Year Finalists Beltran over Nomar is not going to happen. Nomar came back from a devastating injury, Beltran just came back from a bad year because he failed to live up to the Mets' expectations. he is doing now what he is supposed to do. |

| Re: 2006 MLB Comeback of the Year Finalists Corey Patterson is on the verge of having a career-year this season. I think his best year was in 2004 with 24 homeruns and 74 RBIs, but then he fell through the cracks in 2005 with only 13 homeruns and 34 RBIs. His stolen-base total also dropped over 50% to a low-15. This year, he has stolen the most bases in his career with 37 to date. |

If you have any questions, concerns, or anything in general, feel free to send me a private message. Nomar Garciaparra deserves the Comeback of the Year Award for doing his best in the past three seasons. His homerun rate may not be so high (but it never really was in a while). He still continues to rack up those RBIs which is about double of what he produced last year. His average season (162 games played) is about 29 HRs and 112 RBIs to go with his stunning .320 BA! |

| Re: 2006 MLB Comeback of the Year Finalists Numbers look pretty close... Nomar's jumps in batting average, RBI and runs are mighty impressive, as are Beltran's HR, RBI and - that third one is slugging percentage, right? There's still a good chunk of season left, though, so anything could happen. Any legitimate third candidate in the NL race? Anyone who can challenge Thome in the AL?
