| Re: Home Run Derby Predictions Let me first say I'm not liking the fact that David Wright is in it. We all know what happened to Abreu last year...godforbid that happens this year again to the participants or winner. I voted for Ryan Howard because he's just the definition of a homerun hitter. The other guys are nice (Ortiz, Tejada, etc.) but man Howard can hit it like there's no tomorrow. Just don't give him a glove |

| Re: Home Run Derby Predictions Wow, Howard rocked last night! He was down to his final out in round 1, and proceeded to hit four consecutive homers, launching him past Dye and into round 2. He hit 10 homers in round two, tying him with Wright ( 18 total HRs) for the lead. He only needed five in round 3 to beat the exhausted David Wright. At first, it looked like Howard was taking batting practice ( three consecutive ground balls in round 1), but then he changed his approach and started crushing the balls. The best part was that his "walk-off" homer in round 3, hit the "Hit It Here!" sign in right field! There had been 87 homers on the night, but the final one hit the big sign! Very cool! |
