I guess I'm a frontrunner 'cause I'm one of the three guys picking Howard to win it.

Re: Home Run Derby Predictions

Let me first say I'm not liking the fact that David Wright is in it. We all know what happened to Abreu last year...godforbid that happens this year again to the participants or winner.

I voted for Ryan Howard because he's just the definition of a homerun hitter. The other guys are nice (Ortiz, Tejada, etc.) but man Howard can hit it like there's no tomorrow. Just don't give him a glove

Re: Home Run Derby Predictions

Tejada didn't look too good in the 1st round, only hitting 3 out. Right now, doesn't look like he'll make it to the 2nd round.

I voted for Glauss. It was either him or Howard for me, obviously I chose the wrong guy. I am a lifelong Angels fan and a DBacks fan for a NL team. Glauss played for both of my teams so I went with him, but really because of his role in my Angels only World Series title.

Re: Home Run Derby Predictions

Wow, Howard rocked last night! He was down to his final out in round 1, and proceeded to hit four consecutive homers, launching him past Dye and into round 2. He hit 10 homers in round two, tying him with Wright ( 18 total HRs) for the lead. He only needed five in round 3 to beat the exhausted David Wright. At first, it looked like Howard was taking batting practice ( three consecutive ground balls in round 1), but then he changed his approach and started crushing the balls. The best part was that his "walk-off" homer in round 3, hit the "Hit It Here!" sign in right field! There had been 87 homers on the night, but the final one hit the big sign! Very cool!

Yeah I was down with Glaus as well....can't believe that big lug only hit one...I think his pitcher was all over the place...and he never got in a groove.
