Mark Redman for the Royals?...Has it come down to that?

Re: All-Star Rosters

Each team must have at least one representative...so people like Redman will get picked.

Yes, I am aware...but Redman?...isn't he awful?...what's his ERA these days?

Re: All-Star Rosters

Redman is 5-4 with a 5.59 ERA. I looked and looked at that roster to find an "All-Star", the only fellow I could even remotely suggest over Redman was outfielder Emil Brown- .286, 6 homers, 38 RBI, 6 outfield assists, 1 error.
How about no Schilling, Beckett, or Minnesota's 9-1 Liriano, but Buerhle is there. Always some controversy this time of year. At least I'm sure Redman will be happy to be picked and play, unlike so many nowadays, like Pedro, who weasel their way out of the game.

Re: All-Star Rosters

Legend, I would also suggest Royals' outfielder, Reggie Sanders, who is out performing Emil Brown. Mike Sweeney isn't a bad choice either, only that he hasn't been playing well lately. Personally, I like Angel Berroa the best because he is young and has a big career ahead of him.

Isn't it interesting that Billy Wagner and Kyle Farnsworth didn't get their slots as expected before the season?

Liriano a player I lucked into in my fantasy league, having picked him for long relief is a major, major snub!...last I looked his 9-1 was complimented by a 1.99 ERA and a WHIP under 1.00.

Re: All-Star Rosters

You never really hear about Liriano. He is a silent star who definitely deserves an All-Star slot. A WHIP under 1.00 is amazing! What is the lowest WHIP in MLB history?

Re: All-Star Rosters

In interleague play the AL really made some hay. Liriano was 5-0 in interleague, Johann Santana's interleague ERA was microscopic. The AL was something like 154-97 in IL play.

Re: All-Star Rosters

What about Mussina, Harang, Johnson (of the Marlins), and Isringhausen (saves leader)?

Anyone know who the Home Run Derby participants are?

Re: All-Star Rosters

I think, that if Ryan Howard knows what is coming, he can hit every pitch out of the park.
