ok there's the top 50

yes the list is obviously a little outdated

but the question remains

who do we trust ?

who do we trust was clean ?

i believe Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro, Canseco, and Sheffield all need to go

WHY?...Major League Baseball turned a blind eye towards steroid use...did nothing about it...even when half the league was said to be on it...and now they want their scape goat?

I go you want better...why don't you just kick Bud Selig out of office and call it even....

Re: All-Time Home Run Leaders.....Who Do We Trust

why do so many still turn a blind eye to the fact that what they did was against the law ?

is it expressly against the rules of MLB to commit murder ?

i dont think it is, so i guess if Schilling kills someone he should still be allowed to play

Dude, if someone killed someone and MLB knew it in part...they would be an accomplice to the crime...Selig knew the league was on steroids...and turned a blind eye...so the public lynching you want should start with him...it was his watch...and he let it go, and go, and go...Yet, you don't see him before Congress do you?...

It would go like this:

(Congess) Mr. Selig did you not suspect half of the league was using steroids?

(Selig) ...Uhm...well...yeah...but it was for the good of baseball...McGwire was hitting them by the dozens...and Then Sosa...and fabns were coming back...it would have been a crime to stop them sir....sooo, we let them go, and hope it wouldn't blow up in our faces...but seein as it did...we offer you a scape goat named Barry Bonds...

LOL! I'm not a huge fan of Selig's either.

I agree that although MLB didn't specifically outline steriods as being illegal, it is illegal by state/federal law.

Welcome Aboard Chumerley6...your point is well taken...I just like taking the opposite view...plus, I really dislike Selig...

What would you do if you were the commish of MLB?...Would you hang Mr. Bonds as well?...or sweep it under the rug?

I don't think Bud Selig wants to draw attention to the whole Balco scandal so that he can avoid exposing all the coruptions inside baseball. Plus, he has to worry about his Brewers who are struggling.

Bingo!...We have a winner...and Mr. Barry Bonds would have a cell mate...Look hate Barry all you want...he is jsut the most successful of the users...but lets not overlook MLB and Bud Selig, they belong on the same boat...heck, he is the Captain of the boat.
