| Interleague play I am a Yankees fan, and like them playing the Mets, but how fair is it for the teams chasing St. Louis that the Cards get handed three wins over wretched Kansas City? Pujols would hit 162 home runs if he played that bunch of bums every game. They should be contracted if they cannot put out a representative team on the field. |

| Re: Interleague play There is no doubt that it is a success financially. Look at the attendance for the weekend games. Even the Royals had 30,000 in the stands, a huge number of those were fans who made the trip from St. Louis. |

| Re: Interleague play It's all about location, not team quality. Baseball, and I assume most fans in and around these locales, want to see the two Missouri teams and the two Florida teams go at it just like the two NY teams do and the two Chicago teams as well. Looking at it that way, I think it's a good idea. You can't always necessarily predict how good or bad a team will be from year to year either (although I don't see the Royals winning the division anytime soon). |

Lefty took the words right out of my mouth. Its just as important in KC for the Royals to play the Cards as it is for you to see the Mets play the Yanks. There is something novel about the Cubs playing the White Sox. San Fran vs. Oakland...wow. And then you think about the Padres and they played Seattle, kind of a joke. I like the idea of interleague play. Baseball should be fun to watch and interleague play helps alot. |

| maybe we can hold a weighted lotto for who gets to play the Royals most often during a season...you draw the right ball...and wham!...you have 20 games against KC on your schedule...add an air of random chaos to scheduling... |

At least the Mets get to play at Fenway this year. It's going to be great! |

| They should definitely keep interleague even with the schedule disparity. It creates some excitement in a generally 162 game boring schedule. There is one thing that interleague has negatively affected. It screws up the schedule in a different way: The Yankees and Red Sox play 4 series in May. But nothing in June, July, August. They don't play again until September. That's due to interleague play. You think they could figure out how do fix it. But then again, this is baseball we're talking about. |
