Overpaid MLB Players

Overpaying a player once is OK, as long as you learn from it - MLB - Yahoo! Sports

Interesting list of overpaid pitchers and catches. Among those listed are Ken Griffey Jr., Jason Schmidt, Jim Edmonds and Pedro Martinez.

Thoughts on the list? Who didn't belong? Who should've been added?

Re: Overpaid MLB Players

Mike Hampton! He turned one good year into millions of dollars and has given his teams virtually nothing in return. Pavano and Clement also are in this category.

Pitcher are more likely to be good candidates for this, by nature of the money they command after jsut one good season...some of these guys make Ryan Howard seem like a real bargin.

Cool Re: Overpaid MLB Players

Although it's not baseball, Isiah Thomas paid Jerome James 30 million dollars for 3 years.

1st year: He played in 44 games and averaged 9 minutes
Last year: 41 games and 6 minutes
This year: 2 games and 2 minutes.

That $345,000 a game ...He's averaged 2.5 pts a game and less than 2 rebounds in the 3 years.

And yet Thomas "The Franchise Killer" is still there...how many law suits does it take to get rid of this guy?
