| AP: Baseball Steroid Policy Could End According to an article from the Associated Press, "Major league players can scrap the sport's toughened drug rules if they don't have a new labor contract by August, a provision drawing attention from congressmen who pushed for the strengthened policy."
Basically, if no deal's done by Aug. 1, the union has two weeks to unilaterally terminate the current drug policy, which would then expire on Dec. 19. Under this circumstance, the 2007 season would revert to the 2005 drug testing rules. What do you think of this? |
