potential prospects Jermain curtis and Montaous walton

i may be a little off the subject here , but that one infielder jermaine curtis is an awesome player for UCLA, in 2006 he did well both during the regular season and the summer even though he missed 24 games due to NCAA ineligibilty last season, from what may had to do with his grades, that did not stop him from having a good season last year, now that jermaine is draft eligible, im sure he will do big things this season.

Milwaukee native and former eastern michigan star Montaous walton is currently attending the university of wisconsin whitewater, a top small school in his home state. his most productive season was in 2006 Swiping up 22 stolen bases a season high and batting .323 that year, last season he did alright as well, i think he may be the most talented underrated outfielders in college baseball, sources say he is injured and may not play all of the 2008 season and if he sits out all year he still will have one more year of college eligibilty. in my opinion i would say these two prospects are talented enough to compete some where in the near future.

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, Walter! Good info - but I moved this out of the "Ask the Experts" thread and into it's own.

So if you had to put money on it, which of these two kids do you think has the best chance of being a Major Leaguer, Curtis or Walton?

i would say both of them has a chance of possibly playing at the next level, i would think that curtis may be a higher draft pick maybe in the first or early second round, walton could possibly be in the mid-second third round maybe, as long as he can get healthy and stay healthy and definitely keep his grades up walton will be fine.

i know the 08 draft is over and it turns out curtis was drafted higher, wlaton on the other hand was not drafted , but has a very legitimate chance of signing with any team before the agust 15th deadline, also he has another year of eligibility left and is currently flourishing in Washington at the West Coast Academy and getting plenty looks from scouts along with others at the prestigous academy.

i checked the website out about the academy, Walton can definitely get signed or drafted next june of 09, someone from the area says he plays with a lot of energy and can really run. i think he definitely has a chance of playing pro next year for sure somewhere, for some strange reason i would have never thought he was from Wisconsin.

he's now suppose to be honing his skills under Fred ferreira a legendary scout down in florida at an year round academy. many believe that this will help montaous draft Status as a player and can become a very talented complete player.
