Here are three examples of why baseball is the best sport to follow. Just a couple of quirky facts that make the game what it is.
The Royals are 6-20, the worst record in baseball, but three of their wins are against the team with the best record in baseball, the White Sox.
The Phillies Chase Utley has 6 home runs. The oddity? He has three two-homer games.
Toronto is 5-3 vs. Boston this year. Their three losses were all by pitcher Josh Towers.

I don't see why the three stats pointed out above would make MLB the best sport in the nation...but whatever floats your boat

*and the ChiSox share the best record in MLB....w/ the Mets....oh yeah!

yea i dont kno why eitehr, i mean dont get me wrong i love everything thing about baseball, ive played it for 13 yrs., but i would much rather watch College Baseball than MLB.

Exactly. You issued 3 stats which claim to make baseball the best sport. To me I have no idea why those stats would make any sport or anything the best and by the looks of it im not alone. You could actually interpret those stats to be used against your argument! In what way do your statistics show how baseball is the best sport?

On the other hand I am with Legend on this...all he is trying to say, its just never dull...especially for stats loving geeks (of which I am one)

I think the reason that makes a sport dull to one fan could be the very same reason it fascinates another. Thats what I seem to be picking up from these threads. Interesting!

I think baseball is tailor maded for the Romantic...the people who like to smell the fresh grass and cool breeze every spring when all teams are 0-0 and hope is in the air.
