The United States has upset Cuba at the World Cup of baseball.

According to the AFP, "The United States drilled 14 hits, including one home run, to upset Cuba 6-3 on Sunday in the baseball World Cup, dashing Cuba's dream of clinching a 10th successive title at the tournament... Cuba have had a stranglehold on the tournament since its inception, winning 25 of the 28 World Cups they have competed in, including the last nine. But the squad managed to knock only seven hits off four US pitchers."
