Day - Night Double Headers

i think they really suck

just another way for the owners to make more money

why should the Sox or Yankees have 1 sellout in a day if they can have 2

id like to see them done away with and just play the games back to back

maybe even a 1/2 hour or hour delay for the players to go take a crap or something

but no need to make all the fans leave

Re: Day - Night Double Headers

I love double-headers. If your team plays sloppily in Game 1, you can always look forward to Game 2. Plus, if you sweep the double header, things are really shaken up in the division race.

Re: Day - Night Double Headers

Well, a day-night Yankee/Red Sox double header is a lot of fun. An entire day of rivalry! Awesome!

Re: Day - Night Double Headers

Back to back games in a doubleheader, with a short break of course, definitely would be more fan-friendly. An hour break would let the team get their stuff in order, get the field ready, and let the fans get up and have a good walk around to stretch out the old legs. I kind of like the idea.

Re: Day - Night Double Headers

holy cow i said something Lefty agrees with

someone take a screenshot

i think the day - night split is done for no reason other then money for the owners

which it seems with revenue sharing many of them dont need, those with the lowest payrolls are making money

i could see doing a back to back double header and charging a slight premium for the tickets like maybe $20 more or something after charging full price for one game

i think fans would love it

although i do see a slight arguement for the day - night split

some fans work odd hours and if you work at night you could watch the day game, and vice versa of course

so atleast you get to see one of the games instead of maybe missing both

though i stick with my original opinion lol
