I smell a SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cleveland sweeping the Yankees I really don't care what Clemens has done in the past as it was in the past and right now Westbrook will out pitch Clemens in game 3.

GO TRIBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, time to get them brooms out. The Indians have been "bugging" the Yankees all series long, in more ways than one!

Cool Re: I smell a SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The series is going back to Cleveland. No way Westbrook and Byrd are beating the Yankees at Yankees Stadium.

We shall see. I like our chances with Westbrook vs. Old Man River.

Re: I smell a SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about a sweep but I think this series is over in New York. The Indians are pitching, their pen is good and their offense is red hot. I don't see Clemens AND Mussina (or even Wang on short rest) being able to shut them down.

Re: I smell a SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cleveland played good... better than us. god, what is going on?! steiny needs to use the farm system more. joba, hughes, jeter, posada, bernie all were yanks from the beginning of their career and look at them... some of the most clutch players in baseball history... a little too early to tell for joba and hughes though.

Re: I smell a SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so my broom had a hole in it and it took 4 games. I see the Yankees problem and its not the leader (Torre). I see a bunch of over paid over achievers that can't play together as proof in the first month of the season and i do see their ages playing a part in their melt down as a few years ago this team that played Cleveland this year would have swept Cleveland back then. First look at Clemens yes a great pitcher but aging and in pain evry time he pitches, Mussina can't say anything bad about him cause his mom was my wifes mid wife for our last kid but boy does he look sick and thin and not as dominant as years ago, Giambi what else can I say but Streoids..nuff said, Abreu well best years left in Philly, Arod well looking to get out of New York as you should be abl;e to notice as his play this past week shows, Jeter just can't play with Arod, and as for the young talent you mentioned well give them a couple of years and stay healthy and together well a dynasty and I hate the Yankees.

Well off to a Cleveland sweeps Boston thread.
