Durham?...you gotta be kidding?...Durham has never hit over .300 in a single season, his high points of hits in one year is 181 (Jeters has 5 seasons over 200, and a bunch more over 190)...He has played more games to collect over 300 less hits then Jeters...has put in 2 All-Star appearances to 7...no gold gloves...12 post season games to 119 (Durham has hit well in his few post season appearances)...
These two guys do not live in the same zip code...
If Jeters were to get injured and stop he ,would get in...if he went downhill til he is 40 and average 40 less hits a year and never hit .300 again, he'd still get 3,000 hits...if he average 30 runs less a year for the next six (a sharp decline) he would still be up in the elite class of 1700 to 1800 runs scored...The man is a solid lock as there is in the game...and I am not even a Jeter fan...
