Jose Offerman Goes Nuts w/ Bat

MLB-veteran Jose Offerman, a member of the Long Island Ducks (of the independent league) went nuts after being hit by a pitch in a game. He took his bat and charged at the pitcher. He struck the catcher (who sustained a concussion) and swung at the pitcher (who sustained a broken finger).

Offerman was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and bailed himself out with $10,000.

I doubt it because the Vick case has the fashionable and trendy animal rights aspect to it.
