Which player is most likely to stay with the team he is on his entire career

So what player in MLB besides Derek Jeter will play with teams entire career.Like Tony Gwinn or Cal Ripken. And they can't have changed teams already.

No way...Minnesota is a small market team...Mauer has the potential to be a $20 mil a year player...he will play in pin stripes some day...

Hmm, there could be a lot of them. Mariano Rivera and Albert Pujols are two who come to mind.

Pujols has a shot...as does Ichiro in Seattle I think...he is very popular out there and they seem to treat him well...

Well, Ichiro would be a technicality - he would have spent his entire MLB career with one team.

Re: Which player is most likely to stay with the team he is on his entire career

Ryan Howard has a chance, as does Chase Utley. Chipper Jones looks like he will, as does Jason Veritek in Boston. It is hard to count on any smaller market team holding onto someone for their entire careers, so Mauer and Morneau in Minny can't be on this list.

David Wright & Jose Reyes.

Both guys will play their entire career with the Mets, alongside each other.

Re: Which player is most likely to stay with the team he is on his entire career

I agree with what's been said so far. I think Andruw Jones has a good shot at staying with the Braves his entire career along with Chipper. John Smoltz is another Brave that I don't see leaving.

I guess late in his career if Andruw Jones is still hitting home runs and he's approaching some big milestone (600 home runs or even 700 home runs) that maybe he'll move to the American League, but who knows. He is just 30 with those 363 home runs of his. He sure is having a poor year this year though, and he looks a little fat. The next 5 years or so will really define where people remember him. Maybe he'll be one that just can't do much after about age 34.

Re: Which player is most likely to stay with the team he is on his entire career

Jones is going to have to really finish strong if he wants that big payday. I don't see the Braves coming up with the big bucks to keep him though.

Maur will leave Minnesota just like Santana. If the twins cant get some more young bats and better pitchin and more winning seasons he will be gone by his 10th year. but he will be in the HOF

idk bout reyes bc the mets payroll isnt the biggest and reyes will want to go to a winning team. right now the mets or lead by carlos delgado billy wagner and tom glavine. their pitching staff is really old and their batting is old.
