| All-Star Game starting pitchers So which pitchers do you think should start in the upcoming MLB All-Star Game? I'd vote for the Indians' C.C. Sabathia (12-2, 3.20 ERA, 116 Ks) and the Dodgers' Brad Penny (10-1, 2.00 ERA in 112.2 innings). Who would you go with?

| Sabathia deserves it but I wonder if they'll give Dan Haren the nod, only because the game is in San Fransico (Bay area). The NL? I would go with Peavy? No reason really. I just think his stuff is electric and would prefer to see him. |

| Re: All-Star Game starting pitchers Haren has an ERA a full run better than CC or Beckett and has given up 33 less hit than innings pitched, far superior to the other two. Plus he is 10-2 with an awful lineup behind him, as opposed to Boston and Cleveland's hitters. Haren is an easy choice if you go by the numbers.

There is no such thing as "an easy" chocie...Haren plays in a pitchers ballpark, and Beckett in a hitters ballpark, thus there will be a difference in both ERAs and amount of hits given up. |
