Hmmm... I agree with you on the MVPs, but John Lackey (8 wins, 2.36 ERA, 61 K's, not as much run support as Beckett) has my AL Cy Young vote.

And why would Daisuke win rookie of the year? His ERA is 4.83!! The only reason he has 7 wins is because he has the Red Sox offense backing him up. In his last start he gave up 12 hits in about 5 innings. Not exactly an award-winning performance.

Here's the real AL ROY so far:

And let's not forget about Hideki Okajima: 1.05 ERA, 26 K (only 7 BB), and 4 saves. He's far outperformed Matsuzaka, and is probably more valuable to Boston right now.

Yeah, I'm a Nessie nut... Used to do all sorts of research on him.... I have maps of sightings, timelines between appearances, tons of Loch Ness books, and folders full of notes. I know, I'm weird.

But since I believe in Intelligent Design (over the theory of Evolution), I do so want scientists to capture Nessie on film (or in a cage). That would kinda put a dent in a couple of science books.
