I was wondering who everybody thought were the players of the month for May.

AL- I would have to go with Magglio Ordonez. He is ripping the ball.

NL- I think this one would be tougher. Off the top of my head I would put Derrek Lee hitting just under .400, Griffey- hit the most HR in the month so far, Brandon Phillips- a 22 game hit streak with power. Not sure of his slugging percentage.

Who would you say??

That's a tough one, Azrael.

Griffey has the power, but Lee has the contact.

I'd go with Griffey just because I like him!

AL Player of the Month: Justin Morneau

Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau, who hit 10 home runs, has been named Sharp Presents the American League Player of the Month for May.

In 27 games, the reigning American League MVP batted .380 (33-105) with a .667 slugging percentage, 29 RBI and 21 runs scored. The left-handed slugger also added three multi-home run performances. Justin compiled a 10-game hit-streak that ranged from May 13-27. He is hitting .283 with 16 home runs and 44 RBI in 2007. This is Justin's first career American League Player of the Month Award.

Ordonez came in fourth, I think... Youkillis came in second place.
