I'd do that for the Pirates, but, come on... even I know they don't deserve to be there!

Probably Mark Teahen. A better question is, who represents the Nationals?

If Shawn Hill can get healthy, he should get it. he doesn't have a good record, but he is pitching great. he puts up a lot of goose eggs.

Cool Re: All Star Ballot Up At MLB.com...Ready To Vote?

Royals have a couple of good pitchers this year. Jorge De la Rosa and Gil Mesche, who could easily make the team.

Re: All Star Ballot Up At MLB.com...Ready To Vote?

I'm still relearning baseball so I made a possible mistake in putting Nick Swisher as a starting outfielder! Hey when I was REALLY knowledgeable about baseball the Athletics were the team with names like Eckersley, Parker, Stewart, Lansford and of course the Bash Brothers. I wanted an Oakland Athletic and he seemed the best choice...till I looked up Swisher's 2006 and 2005 stats. Whoops!

As we posted earlier, he was just signed to a multi-year extension. I don't think that he deserves it with his mediocre performance.

Their pitching staff really declined over the years.

huh?

The Managers of the All-Star teams this year are Tony La Russa (NL) and Jim Leyland (AL). They make the decisions on who they take on as pitchers and extras in conjunction with any advice from other managers that they seek.
