So Fox is going to announce the 2007 World Series schedule today, and there's some good and bad. The Series will most likely start on a Wednesday, not a Saturday, this year. That's a wash, except that since the start will be later than normal and there may be a sizable gap between the end of the LCS games and the start of the Series. On the plus side, they're planning on scheduling a Saturday afternoon game this year, which is long overdue. On the negative side, Game 7 is currently scheduled for November 1, marking the first time that a World Series game has been scheduled to start in November. Thoughts about these proposals?

When you say Wednesday, later than usual, you mean time or days? If it's later than a 8-8:30 eastern time game...that's pretty bad.

Props to MLB/FOX if they do have a day game...every World Series should have some games played in day light.

Sorry... I mean it's going to start a few days later, on the Wed. AFTER the Saturday it normally starts on. That's why Game 7's on Nov. 1. Sorry, I wasn't real clear on that. Looks like they've nailed everything except pushing it too late in the year.

Well that's going to feel weird but at least it's not like the NFL with the TWO WEEKS between the Championship games and Super Bowl.

I'm sure the teams will be mildly happy since the pitchers can rest.
