Cool Hgh?

On YES network, they were replaying Jim Abbot's no-hitter in '93 against Cleveland and Manny Ramirez and Jim Thome were on that team, and both were Twigs compared to what they are now - especially Thome.

I don't care how much you work out, you don't go from being that skinny too this huge without some sort of help.

Does MLB test for HGH, or steroids only?

From what I know they dont test for hgh because tests they have tried brought innacurate results..players want a test to be 100% accurate..which I dont blame them..

Re: Hgh?

There is no test for growth hormone. Seems like every league, sporting body has invested something in trying to develop the technology, but nothing yet.

As for 93, Thome and Manny...I wouldn't point the finger at both. Manny for one has gotten a bit chunky over the years and both are older guys. It's not like they're in their late 30s and belting 70 homers

Okay, let's give Manny a pass. But you should have seen Thome.

Re: Hgh?

Why give Manny a pass? I've seen that games a dozen times and both eh and Thome look nowhere near what they look like now.

That being said, the more I see guys like Giambi and Bonds playing today as good as ever, I wonder if ther benefit of taking steroids is mostly psychological.
