| Re: 2007 award picks AL MVP - Alex Rodriguez NL MVP - Miguel Cabrera AL Cy Young - Josh Beckett NL Cy Young - Jake Peavy AL ROY - Philip Hughes or Alex Gordon NL ROY - Andrew McCutchen Some of those pick probably look crazy, but hey... why not take a risk every now and then? Cabrera can probably have the finest season of any NL player and still not win MVP because he plays for Florida. Beckett has just stunned me so far this year with how well he's pitching (18 k's in 18 innings), and with that Sox lineup he should win a lot of games. Peavy has rebounded from a bad 2006 in a big way, with a 0.90 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP and a .157 BAA to start the season. That said, I'm also really high on Sabathia, but I didn't want to completely regurgitate someone else's picks.

| Re: 2007 award picks Well, McCutchen's a Pirate so that's kind of a homer pick. In terms of Dice-K, I'm one of those guys who has trouble giving rookie awards to guys like that who've been around for years in overseas leagues. Yeah, he'll probably win it... it just bugs me that they call a guy with a resume like what he's got a "rookie". |

| Re: 2007 award picks I'll make a few picks NL MVP- always Albert Pujols AL MVP- Grady Sizemore NL CY Young- Aaron Harang AL CY young- Felix Hernandez NL ROY-Chris Young AL ROY- Matsuzake I think Sizemore is the player that makes the Indians go. I expect big things from him this year. Harang is a homer pick. He led the league in K's last season. Just the natural progression. I know Dice-k will win unless he has a dreadful season, but I am pulling for Delmon Young. |

| Re: 2007 award picks Probably, Chris B. Young. Chris Young played his previous seasons in Texas. Therefore, he is not considered a rookie. Felix Hernandez is one of the best pitchers in the AL, perhaps the equivalent of Johan Santana. |
