GTG AL Predictions 2007 Edition

Here we are just three nights away from kicking off the 2007 MLB regular season. The AL kicks off the following day on Monday. Many questions remain in what some or most consider the better league. Can the Yankees count on their pitching? Will Papelbon still have success in the pen for Boston? Will any other team in the East matter? Will Minnesota still stick around the top of the central? Will more players lost for Billy Beane in Oakland still not matter? Will Texas be the next post-Showalter team to make it and win a World Series?

Use this thread to make your predictions for the AL. Here are mine:

AL East
1. Yankees (94-97 wins)
2. Red Sox (89-92 wins) ** Wild Card Team
3. Blue Jays (78-84 wins)
4. Orioles (70-76 wins)
5. Devil Rays (62-68 wins)

AL Central
1. Tigers (90-94 wins)
2. Twins (88-92 wins)
3. Indians (79-85 wins)
4. White Sox (72-76 wins)
5. Royals (61-66 wins)

AL West
1. Anaheim Angels (82-86 wins)
2. Oakland Athletics (80-84 wins)
3. Texas Rangers (77-82 wins)
4. Seattle Mariners (70-74 wins)

Playoff Predictions:
Angels over Yankees (again) in 4 games
Red Sox over Tigers in 5 games

Red Sox over Angels in 5 games and advance to another World Series

4. A's ( I pick them to lose every year. I have never liked them)
