MVB,
I remember this game. I was watching it with my fiancee (a dual citizen of Hungary and America) and her aunt, likewise, both of whom are utterly ignorant of anything coming within a mile of "sports." I'm trying to explain the rules of baseball, what's important about this game, blah blah blah, and then Boone destroys it.
How could i possibly explain what had just happened? About how the Yankees had done it
AGAIN
to the Red Sox for like the infinitieth time? About how the Yanks would be playing in the big show instead of the 'Sox again?
I couldn't. I was speechless.
Cheers, all.
