they are publicized

apparently i havent been clear

people have been saying everything about steroids before baseball banned it shouldnt be an issue

i disagree............steroids may not have been banned by baseball officially........BUT IT WAS AGAINST THE LAW

there maybe that is clear enough

is murder or kidnapping or arson officially against the rules of baseball ? well of course not you say......thats just stupid.......if someone did one of those things baseball would kick them out....as they are against the law

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO............as i said, steroids is also against the law.....ergo, baseball should not have had to ban it....it should have already been known to be as against the rules of the game as murder

apparently until a few years ago baseball was above the law

have i explained my point well enough now ? ...............you may think im nuts........which i dont care about........but i really dont see how you can not agree with my point

Re: Unwritten Rules And Cheating In Baseball

Rose signed on to his lifetime ban fellas-whether it was right or wrong. The biggest unwritten rule in the sport is everyone looks the other way until they are actually led by the ear and shown what's going on. Then, almost to a man, the players say "Yes, I knew so and so was doing this and that but one of our unwritten rules is to keep quiet about what goes on in the locker room."

good point legend

its the same with smaller laws and even morals in baseball

reported wife beaters get new contracts as long as they put up the #'s

same thing with players that spit on umps and things like that

cleaning up the MLB is a big shame......if you sell tickets you have a job........hell i bet if there was a way Jose Canseco could prove he could hit 50 HR's next year he would get 30 contract offers

Re: Unwritten Rules And Cheating In Baseball

I have so many questions about HGH it's not even funny. I know someone who a few years ago worked at a GNC (nutrition/fitness store, for those not in the know), and he swears that they used to sell HGH over the counter. So when did it start to become a banned substance?

Re: Unwritten Rules And Cheating In Baseball

I'm still not sure that hGH can realistically be tested for....it's an endogenous hormone, and levels are well known to increase in response to exercise (see link). So how can a test distinguish between an athlete that is taking hGH as a drug versus one whose hGH levels are elevated due to a recent trip to the gym?

The exercise-induced growth hormone response in at...[Sports Med. 2003] - PubMed Result

very good point, but there must be a way

hopefully shutting down the pill mills and the doctors with loose Rx slips will help

Re: Unwritten Rules And Cheating In Baseball

HGH helps build muscle mass and aids in helping to recover from injuries. Now they are linking it to Troy Glaus. If any of you think that about 60 percent of baseball isn't on it and about 90 percent of the NFL, I've got a bridge to sell you.

lol, hard to argue there. Fastballs to the head are thrown with a purpose. Well, unless you have one of those freak pitchers with no control.
