| Re: Top 50 Baseball Prospects Thanks for the head's up on this. Had to go check out the Pirates' Andrew McCutcheon. Looks like a pretty good prospect, hitting .308 with a .379 OBP and a .474 SLG in Double-A last season. Wonder if we'll see him in the bigs at all this year or not.

| Re: Top 50 Baseball Prospects ha this a good list to check out, the roylas seem to have some top talent ready to go. Is this do to good scouting which is hard for me to belive, or the wealth of top picks they have every year? The angels are up their yet again, not a suprise they do a great job of scouting espically in the pitching field. They say the eta on hughes is 2007, this cant be possible can it, the only way i see it is if pettite pavano and randy stay injured which is possible but far to unlikely for cashmen to move him up this year

| Re: Top 50 Baseball Prospects i think the only way mccuthen gets a look is a sept call-up if ( i mean when) chris duffy stuggles and decides he doesn't want to play again, but he will probably see very little time. just remember he had a good spring training. boy major leagues and 20 years old you don't see that very often. |

| Re: Top 50 Baseball Prospects Yeah, look at Cameron Maybin!! He played in some exhibition games last year too, at the age of EIGHTEEN....he probably won't be called up yet, but nonetheless, he's playing big league ball. Even if they wait to call him until 2008 he'll still be only 20. Tigers love these babies though. They brought up Bonderman at 20, and Zumaya at 21....if they do bring up Maybin their average age is going to drop below some of the high schools around here (and I'm including Leyland here haha). Scaaaaaaaaaary. |
