| Re: First Woman Elected to Baseball Hall of Fame It's a nice story and all, but come on. They elect 17 people, but pass on both Buck O'Neil and Minnie Minoso? What the hell?
Okay, sorry about that. Just had to get it out of my system. I'd never heard of Manley until today, but it looks as though she tried to use baseball to advance civil rights causes, which is definitely worthy of recognition. In fact, that article you linked to said that she once even organized an Anti-Lynching Day at the Newark Eagles' home park. Interesting.
