Ryan Howard has been announced as the winner of the 2006 NL MVP.

I can't stand this move but I also cant contest it. He was out of this world this year the only thing that he could improve on is his strikeouts. He was just as likely to strike out this year as he was to get a hit. Of course that hit was pretty damn likely to leave the park but still.

I knew Howard would win the MVP. Well deserved in my opinion.

Can't argue with Howard. He had an amazing season.

Although the Phillies had more total votes (with Howard and Utley) than the Mets did (with Beltran, Wright, Reyes and Delgado), it's nice to see someone other than Pujols finally win the award in the NL lol.

The right choice here... Gotta love what Albert did, but Howard was flat out better. Pujols got the ring anyway.

Not saying he isn't, not saying he is. A lot of guys get figured out after riding the spotlight throughout a season... it's the hitters who can adapt to succeed that are truly great.

its bullcarap, pujols should have won it hands down. the only thing howard beat him in was rbi's and homeruns. his ba with runners in scoring position was terrible, and his team did not even go to the playoffs.so how could he be the mvp if he did not make his team as best as they could be?
