| Re: No Longer Shea???????? WHAT? Nice one Marc, lol, but at least it wouldnt be some sort of commercialized name. The same thing makes me mad in football, it makes the homes of these teams less recognizeable. Its too bad its all about the money...I mean in Buffalo the naming rights to the Buffalo Bills "Rich Stadium" were bought by the private donations and some collaboration from the players to name it after our owner Ralph Wilson JR. Which "Ralph WIlson Stadium" is now affectionately known as "The Ralph". Stuff like this, and the history behind some of sports great venues shouldnt be tarnished. When people say "Shea" or "Fenway" it really means something....not "US Cellular Field" or "Lincoln Financial Field"....its a fact of the economy but one I refuse to agree with

| Re: No Longer Shea???????? WHAT? Yeah, but naming rights bring in money, money that ideally is spent hiring players that can help teams win championships, keeping the fans happy, buying tickets and bringing in more money. Vicious cycle, that, but corporate named stadiums aren't all horrible. Consider "The B.O.B." - that was a fun name born out of naming rights. Personally, "CitiField" isn't horrible. It could be a lot worse. I give you "Monster Park" as an example.
