Soriano to Cubs?

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Chris De Luca :: Cubs want to put Soriano front and center
Sounds like the Cubbies want Soriano in CF...for a whopping 17 million a year....sounds good to me

Re: Soriano to Cubs?

I think that would instantly give them one of the more potent offenses is the majors with Lee and Ramirez. I worry about them putting him in center as they have a stud, Pie, waiting in the wings. They think he should be ready this year.

Re: Soriano to Cubs?

Well, $17 Million is A-Rod type money. His offense would explode in Wrigley. I could see them getting him and sticking him at second.

If they do sign him, it will not be for 2nd. They jsut signed Mark DeRosa for that position.

Re: Soriano to Cubs?

Alex Rodriguez playing second-base?

Nah, I don't think so.

Maybe SS, and push Itzuris to 2B.

A-Rod and 2nd? Mark DeRosa? Boy things sure have changed! No chance Kirk Gibson is still playing is there?
