Verlander wins Rookie of the Year

Ramirez, Verlander win Rookie of the Year awards - MLB - Yahoo! Sports

Verlander, the young Tiger pitcher took the AL Rookei of the year title...but Ryan Zimmerman (my choice for NL ROY) came in second in the NL...was Zimmerman ripped off?

I would have picked Zimmerman and Uggla over Ramirez, but if you look closely at Ramirez' numbers... he really did have an impressive season.

yes, but I got Ryan Zimmerman baseball cards...soooo...I rather he'd win...

I was not suprised about Verlander. I think he is a great pitcher and will win several cy youngs before he is through. He impressed me. I haven't seen a curveball like his since Doc Gooden.

I was completely suprised Uggla did not win. I thought he had a great season.

Zimmerman- .287 20 homers 110 RBI 47 doubles 176 hits
Ramirez- .292 17 homers 59 RBI 46 doubles 185 hits

Zimmerman got jobbed here.
