A Sammy Sosa comeback? Could happen, according to what the Dominican slugger told the Associated Press on Saturday. "I feel good physically, and after a year of resting we are optimistic about making a decision soon about returning to baseball," Sosa said. "I still have a lot of passion for the game and I'm in shape. I want to get to 600 home runs before saying goodbye."

Wow, with all the questions about whether or not he used roids, I'm surprised Sosa would chance a comeback. Your thoughts?

I think a non-contention team might sign him, in hopes that he is indeed healthy and able to play baseball better then he did in '05. I think the rest probably did help him, and coming back as a DH isn't such a bad idea.

The Indians would not be against gambling on him. They did it before with Juan Gonzalez. They invited him to spring training to see if he could still play. Sosa would need to check his ego because he would not get close to the money he would want. I am thinking he would get the league minimum or just a minor league contract to start.
