No mein freund and i'll tell you why! It's because New York fans don't give frogs fat a** about the Mets despite that they are 4 games away from the World Series against a weak AL opponent! New York has forsaken the Mets despite their success so New York fans are Yankee fans...Mets fans are simply called Mets fans. Now everyone is asking me...John, are you going to use the Dark Side of the Force to make the Mets win it all? I haven't decided yet to be honest. You're making way too many accusations.

Just because you hear mostly Yankee talk on the radio and all over the papers (when their dynastic Manager was rumored to be canned) doesn't mean the Mets don't have equal representation. The Mets are kings of the city right now. You know why? THEY'RE STILL PLAYING!

The media and everyone I know and have heard and read on the web is far more interested in the sinking ship Yankees than the marvelous Mets. New York has forsaken them im afraid. It's 96% Yankees all over town and the Mets play tomorrow night in the NLCS. Disgusting.

Sorry, but I have to agree with Trashed. EmpireWF, I don't know which part of the city you're living in, but at least in my neighborhood all I hear is Yankees, Yankees, Yankees....DURING the ALCS games, of which they are not even a part!! Actually I'm not even sure these "fans" realize the Mets are still contenders. I'm frankly tired of hearing about the stupid Yankees. They lost. Deal.

Look everyone has lulls...I wouldnt say the dynasty is over. We still win the American league East and make it to the postseason. A baseball dynasty is characterized by their impact season after season. No team has won as many WS as the Yankees, and all other franchises fail to meet the requirements of a dynasty that the Yankees have set. I believe the Yanks are the winningest franchise since beating the Mets in the Subay Series....look at teams to win World Series since then....Arizona?where have they been? Anaheim? more consistent but no playoffs this year....Florida? yea we dont even need to talk about that one....Red Sox? They finished behind the Yanks for 9 seasons and this year the Blue Jays too....and everyone has jumped of the '05 White Sox bandwagon...Yanks are still baseball's dynasty my friends

What's wrong with being a frontrunner? You are supposed to ENJOY sports and how can you enjoy being a fan of a team like the KC Royals or Florida Marlins at least right now? For me to watch a team they have to have a competitive product on the field and if not I will either not watch until they do or choose another team like I forsook the NY Jets for the Giants and the Yankees for the Mets.

I definitely rooted for the Sox over Houston last year....but I think it was more a midwest thing than a division thing. Given the chance (not likely), I'd take the Cubbies over the Sox any day....I'm even jumping from AL to NL here!! No rhyme or reason to this girl's team preferences

With regard to the subject of team loyalty vs. team winning percentage, I gotta take the side of the disapproving fan. I was with the Tigers when they were .265 in '03 (I was in section 212 when they lost their 119 game, and I gave them a standing O with every other nutso fan when they won their 43rd the next day). There's nothing wrong with a fairweather fan, but those of us who stick with a team through thick and thin do tend to be a bit pretentious about it. However, I am prepared to take issue with the idea that Trashed presented....I most certainly enjoyed every one of the twenty-two losing games I attended that season. It just made that one win seem so much sweeter
