Ravens, Suggs agree on franchise tag

Terrell Suggs filed a grievance against the Baltimore Ravens after he was tagged with the linebacker franchise tag. He sought to be paid the defensive end franchise designation because he says that he played more than one half of the snaps at DE.
He will be paid a one year tender worth nearly $8.5 million as a hybrid defensive end/linebacker.

Dont anyone bother to ask me what a hybrid defensive end/linebacker is because I dont have a clue.

It's a guy who will come up to the line in certain situations and drop back into the LB position in others.
He wanted paid as a DE because they make more, and the team wanted him considered an LB for the opposite reason. Glad to see they settled.

Wow! I thought it was something they just made up to make it all go away.

He gets paid something in between the linebacker and defensive end now.

Re: Ravens, Suggs agree on franchise tag

i would probably consider myself a DE, get more money and a long contract, thenk after a year or so tell my coach that i could also be a LB without resigning so he would make more money and get to play the same positions but now that its over im glad that they worked somethign out so he gets to do what he wants without loosing too much money and he is such a good player so seeing the ravens loose him would be a terrible loss considering they lost to the 1-15 dolphins

Whenever a team has a season like the Dolphins, you just know they have to win sometime. And then you just hold your breath, cross your fingers and hope its not going to be your team.
Kind of embarrassing to the Ravens and their fans, huh?
By the way, dont believe I have seen you around here before this. Welcome to GTG. And it sounds like you are a Ravens fan. Titans fan???
