Ravens to eye quarterbacks

As the Raven delegation goes to Indianapolis for the combine later this week, they are expected to spend a lot of time looking at quarterbacks. This will include a good look at Boston College's Matt Ryan.

Same here. Everyone's so convinced he can't be an NFL QB, but he looked pretty good near the end of last year as a rookie.

I would prefer Ryan over Smith.

Maybe, but you've already got Smith. So do you waste a pick on another QB who isn't *that* much better, or do you take care of another need?

Matt Ryan at Boston College and he won't fall past the Falcons at 3, if the Ravens want a QB it'll be Lousiville's Brian Brohm if they want to go there in Round 1. Though there will still be a lot of talent around in Round 2.

I thought the Dolphins were going after Long. Parcells is a defensive guy so that means Ryan will still be there.

No, I doubt it. Like Bette said, they'll probably go Chris Long.

You think they believe in Beck or take a QB later?

Well - just a gut feeling here, but - Parcells seems to favor old QBs. I think he'll get a free-agent.

Beck still needs about 3 more years before he steps foot on the field again.

I like Beck, he kind of reminds of Drew Brees. I think Parcells will sign a guy to be a bridge and then give Beck the job next year.
