Harbaugh new Ravens Head Man

BALTIMORE -- John Harbaugh has been hired as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.The Ravens will hold a press conference Saturday at 12 p.m. at the team’s Owings Mills facility to introduce Harbaugh as their new head coach.Harbaugh arrived at the Ravens' headquarters Friday morning for his second interview for the head-coaching position vacated when Brian Billick was fired on Dec. 31.Harbaugh, 45, built his reputation on special teams. The interesting thing to be on the look out for is how the Ravens defense responds to the hire. They publicly called for Rex Ryan to get the job but Baltimore instead went with the secondary coach from Philly. Don't be surprised if a couple of players are cut or traded before training camp.

Yeah, that was my first reaction too. I have to assume this means they're gonna gut the franchise and rebuild.

That said, they should've hired Ryan. He was the right guy for the job.

Harbaugh has never had head coaching experience. I don't even think he's been a coordinator. So I don't get it.

Neither do I, if they wanted a defensive guy it should've been Rex Ryan, or they should've gotten an offensive guy.
