The Baltimore Ravens have given QB Kyle Boller a 1-year contract extension.

According to the Associated Press, "Boller's contract was to expire after this season. The extension will keep him in Baltimore through 2008 and end speculation that the Ravens were about to sign Byron Leftwich, who was released by Jacksonville this week." Smart move? I mean, the kid only has a career passer rating of 71.0. Isn't it about time to cut your losses with him?

It's just that, he's never really produced much at all. It's always about "potential" with Boller. This far into his career, we really shouldn't be talking about "potential" anymore - high time the kid started providing results.

Well, if they don't believe in him, they would have made a better effort to address it at the draft, unless they figure that next year's draft would present a better option...I jsut don't see this franchise moving higher than where it has been the past few years.
