Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome told
The Baltimore Sun today that Baltimore has had "
a couple of small conversations" with the agent for free agent quarterback
Byron Leftwich, who was released by Jacksonville on Saturday.
The Sun reports that the Ravens "are believed to be one of seven teams to have preliminary talks with Leftwich," but the paper doesn't name the other six. The Chiefs, Falcons and Bears are among the teams that have been mentioned as possible Leftwich landing spots.
