This is not a good thing for the Ravens. Araguz was near the bottom of the NFL with a 40.2 gross average and a 34.7 net.

It was a newsbot thread. And don't underestimate Special Teams in football. They're not sexy but many games are won and lost because of bad punting than you might think.

"Raven sign has been veteran punter way before the draft...when no one else in the NFL, or CFL would have expressed an interest"...not so much...

Well, considering that this guy seems to be a major downgrade from last year, I think this is a story. Any time you get significantly worse in any facet of the game from one year to another, you've got to be at least a little concerned about that if you're a fan of the team. And just as there's no A.I. telling us what we have to create threads about, there likewise is A.I. telling any specific individual that they need to comment on said post if they don't feel it merits value. Right?

My good man, as to prolong the debate on, newsbots, AI, worthiness and punters in general, I am merely saying that a dignified board member such as Lefty Noob, would not do justice to his grand reputation by soiling his hands typing up a reply that goes with a newsbot story on Araguz.

Everything in life is indeed news to someone, but a punter whose skills are not what they use to be, going to a team that is not what it use to be, is best left to other less attractive boards, unless of course the news event is spun into an "apples and oranges" type bit. Straight up, it is hardly worth the multiple posts by the board's three most prolific posters…and definitely below the caliber of post that we have come to expect from the exceptional Lefty Noob.

What's funny is that their old guy Zastudil wasn't much better - a career 41.6 average and 34.8 net. Apparently, Billick's not overly concerned with special teams either, Pundit. What happened to Zastudil, by the way?

Gotham: It might not be news to me or you. But to the Ravens fan, it is significant. The Browns gave Zastudil a decent amount of money. His gross average last year was 43. Maybe with some better coverage he can get his net up. You know now, I'll be watching next year where the Ravens lose a game because of their punting.

Zastudil opened up a "Doggie Day care in Denver"....no?...does it make a difference?
