Ravens vs. Colts - AFC Divisional Playoff

So the Baltimore Ravens will host the Indianapolis Colts this Saturday at 4:30. The Colts defense looked mighty impressive in their win over the Chiefs this weekend, although Peyton Manning threw three picks. Can the Ravens stifle Manning again? Can they score on the Indy D? Who wins the game?

Cool Re: Ravens vs. Colts - AFC Divisional Playoff

Great game. Indy comes back to Baltimore, where they snuck out of town in the middle of the night. over 20 years ago. I really think the Ravens are going to win the game. I think their defense is too good and their offense is good enough to dominate a poor Colts defense.

This is interesting. Something I never realized:

But here's something you might not know: nobody owns the Baltimore Ravens like Peyton Manning.

All told, Manning is 3-2 lifetime against the Ravens and, despite their incredible defense since the turn of the century, has averaged 290 yards passing against them. His lifetime quarterback rating against Baltimore is a sparkling 89.9.

Normally I would hands down take the Ravens but, I'm going to go with the Colts all the way, I still think it's their year

6-3 Colts. Peyton has thrown 1 pick but he's still driving pretty well. He's just been inconsistent.

Starting off as a great playoff game.

Colts drive stalls. Vinietieri kicks a 50 yard fg that hit the crosbar & bounces in. 9-3 Colts.

Vinatieri must lead a charmed life, because that kick just eeked it's way in. Great game so far!

And now it's 12-3 on Vinatieri's fourth field goal. Plus, the Colts kicker become the all-time leader in playoff FGs.

What a defensive war this has been! 12-6, Indy, with under 7:00 left to go in the final period.

Re: Ravens vs. Colts - AFC Divisional Playoff

Who'd have thought the Colts would be running a clock management offense? But by running Rhodes, they've taken five minutes off the clock and it's down to the two minute warning. Rhodes just bulled ahead for another first down, and at this point, it's really only a matter of time.

Re: Ravens vs. Colts - AFC Divisional Playoff

Who would ever have thought Mannning could have had a subpar game and the Colts still one. I guess getting Vinatieri from the Pats was a great move.

Ray Lewis didn't play a bad game , It was the Ravens offense that didn't get the job done , It was just as I thought It was going to be, Colts defense surprise everyone.

Re: Ravens vs. Colts - AFC Divisional Playoff

Manning had a passer rating in the low 30's. He can't keep playing that poorly and expecting the Colts to win.

Er... can he?

I mean, so far, so good. The running game, defense and special teams has carried them through the playoffs thus far. I just have to think that Peyton's poor play will catch up with him and Indy sooner or later.
